We use OVH on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing the website reliably and securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place. The servers are located in the European Union, so server log files are not transferred to a third country.

Cookies

bruttonettorechnen.de sets no cookies at all, neither its own nor any from analytics or advertising services. The calculators also store nothing in localStorage or any other browser storage: gross salary, tax class, child allowances or church tax status are gone as soon as you close the tab. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, German law (§ 25 TDDDG) requires no prior agreement, and there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to accept.

Anonymous Stability Check with Microsoft Clarity, Without Cookies

To notice when one of the 50-plus calculators throws an error, a page loads slowly or a button does nothing, we use Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland, in cookieless mode. For each page view it records script errors, loading times, dead clicks and scroll depth. Clarity sets none of _clck, _clsk, MUID or CLID, gives every page view its own identifier and does not link your visits together. Page text and all input fields are masked in the browser. Microsoft receives the technical details of the request, including the IP address, from which only a rough location is derived; data may also be processed in the United States (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses). Retention: recordings 30 days, aggregated figures at most 13 months. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in calculators that work without errors (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time by blocking the clarity.ms domain in your browser or by writing to the address below. The calculators work just the same without Clarity.

Server Log Files

The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits. These include:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
  • Hostname of the accessing device
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address (anonymised)

This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of the website. Server log files are automatically deleted after 30 days.

5. Calculator Inputs

All inputs you make in our calculators are processed exclusively locally in your browser. No salary data, tax class selections, or other personal financial information is transmitted to our servers. The calculation is performed entirely on the client side using JavaScript.

URL parameters (e.g., ?brutto=3500&klasse=1) serve solely to allow you to share calculation results. These parameters are not evaluated server-side by us. They are never written to a cookie or to browser storage.

6. External Services

The website loads no fonts or other resources from third-party providers.

7. Third-Party Services

Apart from the Microsoft Clarity stability check described above, the website integrates no third-party services. There are no social media buttons, advertising widgets or remarketing services. We do not sell user data.

8. Transfer of Data Outside the EU

The site is hosted in the European Union. Only the technical data of the Clarity stability check may be processed by Microsoft in the United States, under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses; blocking clarity.ms prevents any such transfer.
